Weiss Earley Landscape Design & Contracting

Landscape Design

Initial Consultation

Our consultative approach is an integral part of the preliminary design process. During our first meeting, we will discuss your visions and desires for your property. Once we have a complete understanding of your vision, we will make suggestions and recommendations to make your desires a reality. After a rough concept has been developed, we will work with you on developing a realistic budget for the project. Their is no charge for your initial consultation.

Design Process

With your approval of the initial concepts and budgets, we will begin the design process. The design process generally takes about 2 to 4 weeks for us to complete. You will be presented with a scaled blueprint, generally on 24" × 36" paper. Design services are billed at $50 per hour with a minimum of 5 hours. We will discuss these costs and estimated design time with you at the initial consultation.

Design Presentation

When we have your design completed and ready for you, we will call and set-up a meeting for the presentation. We can present the design either at our offices or at your home, whichever is more convenient for you. At this time, we will have complete pricing for your entire project, broken out by each phase of the job. Adaptations and adjustments to the initial design are discussed and implemented at this time.

Contract Signing

Upon your acceptance of the design and pricing, we will prepare a formal contract for your signing. At contract signing, we request a 30% deposit along with the signed proposal in order to schedule your project. We will work diligently with you to meet any and all time constraints.

Project Implementation

Its now time to get the actual construction underway. While it may seem like a lot getting to this stage, remember it was time well spent. Careful planning results in a smooth project. While many of the phases of your project will be done with our own labor force, certain aspects may be subcontracted. An example of subcontracted items would include: electrical, plumbing, fencing, concrete, and heavy excavation. Rest assured, we will be watching over your project very diligently and remember that we remain your one point of contact.

Project Completion

Upon completion of all construction activities, we will prepare a final bill for you to review. Final payment is due net 10 days. Large projects sometimes are progress billed depending on size and duration.
